True... but the counterbrockage cent in that lot would still be worth the price of the hammer.

The 25c 1973 is also a squeeze job. So 5 coins were not legitimate errors. I wonder if the buyer knew?

so, how did this happen? a struck coin on top of a planchet with another struck coin underneath? were you surprised by the final price SPP?

No... I was prepared to pay that much for it... but I had also just won the previous lot, so between the two coins, my budget was tapped out...
