I always keep any star notes I get. Most don't have a big premium, but I've sold a few new $100, 50 and 20's on
ebay barely getting more than the fees, postage end up costing over face value. Anything in values below $20 I keep for myself, those higher denominations I'd rather turn into cash to buy books and coins with.
I know $2 later series aren't worth anything,, yet I still stick them in a box anyways, I get them at the aluminum can recycler each month, just got one yesterday in fact. None have been star notes (yet) from them. I do have a few star $2 series 1953 crispy too, but don't think they would bring any real premium as so many are out there.
