Nothing special but a large coin for the period, VALENTINIAN II ae2 378 - 383ad Obverse - DNVALENTINIANVSPFAVG, diademed, draped & cuirassed bust right Reverse - REPERATIOREIPVB, emperor standing front, offering hand to kneeling woman on left, holding victory on globe in left. ASISC in exergue, SISCIA mint, RIC 26b, type V Weight - 4.52g Max diameter 24mm

Sweet Valentinian! He ( Valentinian) was one of the last great Emperors of Rome. With a few exceptions ( Magnus Maximus, Majorian) the Emperors after Valentinian, tended to hide behind the swamps of Ravenna instead of being present on the field of battle.
