I can't read any of the letters. I was hoping the design would look familiar. 2.31 grams, 17 mm

That's Valens, SECVRITAS REIPVBLICAE (Carefree republic). You can tell its Valens by the obverse legend spacing (and the right hand bit is just readable as NS PF AVG). Mint mark could be read with a little more cleaning - I'mtorn between SM[N/H]... and RTERTIA. Going by style, however, I reckon its Rome mint (Certainly not Nicomedia and I dont think Heraclea has used such long mint marks).
