1969 -D penny, very nice looking coin, What would this Emmy be worth if it was an actual error penny? I'm kind of a newbie, I'm learning the ropes... So, a little help?

Hope this images are good.

Obverse: close look a the ear, there is like something super shiny, liberty has a shadow on the B but not DD, under "WE" there's I line that starts from the E down to Lincoln 's hair(looks like a die crack maybe), mint mark might have some DD, and "GOD"- GO looks double

Well pictures are getting better. Still a little blurry or pixelated but better. I wanted a be image of go in god but as far as I can see is liberty looks normal the line doesn't look like a crack but maybe a bubble or die gouge. Really is hard to see. The back is interesting cause the letters are thick in some places. I will let experts look at that. I'm still not good with hub doubling.but so far not rare and let me give you a link but you can lookup any penny and mint mark and you will see what years and things to look for certain doubling. And it gives you tons of pictures and prices so you can see what is a valuable error and what is rather common http://www.coppercoins.com/advsearch.php

Here is a normal cent reverse for 1968. The "U" is normal shape that years reverse.

Your coin is a later die state, which is showing die wear on the tops of the devices on the reverse. Note in your last image you can see where the die is aging and the tops of the devices are flowing to the rim. here is an image that shows the gradual breakdown of the devices like your coin.

Note how the edge of the devices near the rim got from rounding in MDS to VLDS even breaking down more than your coin. Dies are like us, they age/show breakdown over time.

So what is your coin worth. I'd say what the copper value is. Sorry

Wow! Very interesting.. Who would've known that metals age too haha I thought metals only rusted thank you... This helps me even more to identify aging coins from the not so used ones

Just remember it really isn't the age of the coin or how long it's been in circulation. Coop is showing you the life of the die that makes the coin. EDS, MDS, LDS, VLDS. and let's not forget sometimes they get polishing and cleaning. Which alters the way the coin appears from its original state as well.
