It looks a bit like a copy of an ancient Greek coin. Not surprising really. Lots of American classic coins are of the neo classic style.

Graffiti, Nice find. This is a punch-out where someone made a ring out of the rest. I have one from a quarter on my key-chain, Its just about the size of a Half Dime. I'm guessing this is a 40% silver variety? I would be interested in it, if Jbuck and yourself aren't.
