I was just wondering what you thought about those coin tv shows that are always on. I know that they are a rip off, but I always like watching them just to see what they have and just to have a good laugh when they try to reason about their ridiculous prices. Do you know if there are any that you can watch online?
Thankyou, -Ben

They bend the truth to suit their needs for selling. I can't believe that they can actually sell so many over priced coins.

I love watching those shows. Almost funnier than Scrubs re-runs!

I also enjoy watching them, I get my RedBook and PCGS price guide out and compare prices. I would never buy from them, but use them as educational and entertainment purposes."Hope I spelled that right" It's the super crazy one time only, until next week deal! Fishnwidow

as a rule I don't watch them but have seen them a time or two. but I really hope that they don't sale as much as they say they do. I mean I hope that we are not that far gone yet that we need to pay that kind of money for junk. I wonder if that is where that SGS guy got the idea lol Gary

I sometimes watch so I can yell at my fiancee: "Can you believe they're selling a common Silver Eagle for $199?" or "Look, look, they're selling State Quarters (that they made billions of) for $25 each," and that sort of thing. She gets tired of it pretty quickly, tho, so I try not to watch those shows anymore.

A couple of nights ago they said only a couple of sets were still available. However, 4 or 5 different telephone rings were sounding in the background. I am math impaired but 5 calls ought to cover 2 sets. In private I will confess I like to look at coins so I watch the shows on occasion but never more than all the time

I used to watch those shows on occasion, but I have become more and more disgusted with them. I feel really sorry for all those people who continue to purchase from them.

I sometimes watch them just because they are so funny.
Then I think of the people getting screwed around, and someday will think they really have something special, when they don't.
That sobers my thinking and I switch channels to something else.

I like how they always take a few hundred off the price to make you think you're getting the deal of the century, when in fact it's still double the price of the RedBook. Too funny!

Everything just wrong when they talk. I wish they had that you could call in, now that would be fun!

I know that they are a bunch of money hungry creeps but I do watch them ocassionally. Because they do make mistakes and when they do I jump on them. Such as when the Mint sold out of the Buffalo Silver Dollar. Shop NBC was selling Proofs for $ 90.00 whereas the coin shops were charging $125.00 and shows 150.00. When I received the coin it was an uncirculated one rather than proof with the less mintage, shipping included, a great deal! Whereas, If you ask me the T.V. coin shows give the coin collecting industry a bad name by ripping people off. Actually I do business once in while with National Collector's Mint and they are fair and that you can negotiate with them, and they have a good return policy.

Not to long ago I was hospitalized and laying there watching TV I saw those Coin selling shows, knife selling shows, fishing equipment, body building equipment, hair growth and on and on and on. After the hospital I still had to lay there watching that stuff. Now, any time I turn on TV and see any of those, I feel like throwing something at the TV set but just change the channel instead. In other words, I hate those things.

If they did this, I'm sure they would block my phone from calling after the first show

oh boy, then I guess you would like this. if you go to https://www.coincountry.net and watch the show on line (its free) you can actually call in and make offers on what they have for sale. I'll never forget this. They had a $1,000 note for sale, for like $3,500. Then some guy called in and offered a normal price somewhere around $2,000. I just think that its pretty cool that you can call in and make offers. But the show is really informative, and its fun to see what they have for sale. check it out, you may like it. especially if you want to call in! hahaha -Ben
