Ok, first does she qualify for at least a 5% cw rotation slab?... Also, what is that above the ED & AM on rev? They both look like highly polished areas, more Shiney than the rest but not like damage. They aren't raised or sunk but the ED area looks like a polished away rim Cud? I'm thinking maybe a grease strike through on the fields with no devices to mute?... also, I think she's a Vam-3fn? Please confirm, thanks!

Interesting. If that dot is unique to 3FN, then you've nailed it. You're venturing into Scribbling Scratches here, though, so it's imperative that you match your scribbles as accurately as possible to the plate coin's.

The polished areas you're seeing are likely feed finger polishing. The feed fingers of the press don't retract cleanly, rather scraping against the die sometimes, and impart a smooth surface to the die which is then struck into the coin. These are a little outboard of the normal - they're usually found in ST and OF - but are seen here too. It took a lot of presses to strike this many 1921's, and one can reasonably expect design variances in stuff like this.

I'm interested in what appears to be going on between the eagle's left wing and the denticles. We might be able to add some pickups to the variety with it. Also, the crack through the neck which is somewhat unique for Morgans. That'd be a good "smoking gun" for this variety, or maybe the feature which allows us to consolidate this with another VAM. One thing to always be looking out for with 1921's, due to the scribbles, is the chance to consolidate a VAM listing.

Heres some more pics for u dave, the neck crack seems to go from the star to just under the hair D curl and there are 2 more cracks in an L shape just above it in the hair! The wing tip looks kinda like a Starburst pattern starting but weak. and just like my rainbow alligator eye I don't know about editing vamworld if u can help with that?

What do u think of the rotation?

-she's in an UNC details slab which I think is a label error. It says cleaned but I think its a scratch details from the neck/jaw ding?.. She's quite a looker for a 21 though!

OK, let me see what I can do with this.

The rotation is quite common. Mentionable, but probably not added-value.

That neck crack is typical of Peace dollars but rather odd on a Morgan. There are a couple with such cracks but it's atypical.

As for the Details slab, I agree the gouge is probably a dealbreaker but they usually only put one disqualifier on the label.
