I went down to my LCS today to buy morgans, but he had a bunch of Peace dollars encapsulated from a retiree. now the one I bought was a 1925 P , and looks to be uncirculated. the only reason I question that is there are a few hairlines. but they are not all in the same direction they look random. also there is a slight yellow toning starting. I paid 35$, do you think that's too much? Its my first peace.   |

well its uncirculated 61 probably. whats the sell price for that right now? I'mworking on getting a really nice camera.

I think you did good. I paid a dollar more for my first one from an antique shop last year, and yours is in better shape. Mine is also a 1925.

That's about average. Definitely didn't overpay but its not the deal of a lifetime either.

As said before, pics on a flat surface would help. I think you ayed a normal amount for that condition, but can't see from the ics if it is polished.

When my phone refused to take photos I picked up my laptop while the thing I am photographing stays on a flat surface. I don't know how well this works on a coin as I've only tried paper, twice.

Nah, you did fine. : ) Even if you paid too much (and I'm not saying you did, just saying we can't tell), it wasn't too much too much, so don't worry about it - enjoy the beautiful coin!
