What do the masses say? Weak strike? Struck through? Greaser? Abnormal wear?

Struck Through Grease on both sides. It is not worn as the die wear shows on the outside edge of devices toward the rim. Not damaged as you can see where the grease moved to cover just the deeper area of the die, thus the un-formed devices. Face shows it slightly also. Not a premium coin, just interesting.

It almost looks like an improper alloy mix on the obverse. Would this be considered a woody? By the way, Nice pictures

Thanks Coop, I have seen tons of examples where the letters and numbers are filled, but this has to be the largest Greaser I have found yet.

There is one other possibility- thin planchet. The areas of weakness also correspond to the highest points of relief, areas that you would expect to be weakly struck if the planchet was thin. If it weighs the normal 3.1 grams, then Struck Through Grease would be the correct answer.

It weighs 3.0 grams 9 times out of 10. Weighed out at 3.1 grams just one time in ten tries.
