I asked a coin shop the other day what they would give me for the 20 dollar 2006 CN tower or the 20 dollar 2006 Jasper national park coin. They told me 30 dollars for either.

Is this a fair offer or can I do better?

They were $69.95 + tax to purchase.

Averages around 50$ so I think that's a fair price from a dealer. One sold for 37$ online.
Rest in Peace

Book value is $80 for the CN and $85 for the Jasper. So on the low side but in the normal dealer buying range. PM me if you like.

The last eight CN Tower coins that were sold (not just listed) on ebay had final prices in the range of $32 to $47 USD.

The last three Jaspers to sell were in the range of $46 to $57 USD.

So, if you sell them on your own on ebay you would likely get a bit more than $30 CAD for each. I guess it's a matter of how quickly you want to sell them and if you want to deal with the potential issues of ebay transactions.

Thanks for all that info.It helps.
I'm not an ebay person , never felt comfortable with the whole PayPal thing, thats why I started with dealers.
But it looks like I can do a little better. I do have few coins and was trying to get a handle on what to expect from a dealer.

Also I thought they might have offered more for the coins if I were to use the money to purchase coins from their store, but it didn't sound like that would make much of a difference either.

anyway I've just started looking , so we'll see

ebay and Paypal will take their cut. If you have to ship with tracking then it will add to the cost that you have to charge considerably and pass on to the buyer. If no tracking, they can have a not received claim against you and you will lose the coin. Not much sense in that. You have enough posts to sell it internally and a person interested above kuh_85.
