why do you think that this coin is a fake?
In my own opinion the photograph is not clear enought to say that...
Have you seen this coin in any "fake list"?

We should be stating WHY each of us feel that this coin is fake.

I think this is a good point. We're all here to share opinions and to learn. So I'll add my 2 cents:

I personally lean towards the coin being genuine. Style seems okay to me. The wear seems authentic. The coin is pretty clearly struck, not cast. Of course, there are plenty of modern-struck fakes floating around too...so, evidence of striking does not guarantee that a coin is legit. But striking is at least a positive.

The only hesitation I have, and perhaps this is what gives some folks pause (?), is the tightness of the flan. There is certainly more negative space around the portraits on the coins I linked to, and I assume those are pretty standard for the series. But, then, I've seen plenty of legit coins in other series where the flan and portrait sizes varied greatly...so this issue is not enough for me to condemn the coin.

I agree with Chris and Ron.

1:obverse : I have the feeling the style of the head is not roman.<i hzd thzt impression immediatly. For me , there is something wrong in the way the hair and the face are cutted .
2:reverse:Jupiter is not standing ij the quadriga, but more liing,to much coming forward.
3:the edge between 9 and 12 hours , or is it only a photographic effect ?
4:as Athalbert said,a better pic would be useful , but don t trust to much the fake list , a lot of fakes are notlistened.albert
