I agree with the grade but why cleaned? Obviously the coin is circulated, why bother explain the fine hair lines as a cleaning? I see natural wear on this particular case.

Vf30 cleaned. When silver was high a few years ago these went in the melt bucket along with problem 1936 ,37,and other slightly better dates. 1935 dollars in pleasing grade are easily acquired for 50 bucks or so.

hi and Happy Easter with all due respect would you speculate as too how many of the 1935`s may have been melted during that time ? thanks in advance my guess no more than 20,000.?

Since no records were kept of melts and the dates included hard to figure. One guy I did some work for in the silver rush of the end of the 1970s early 1980 , even tossed junk grade 1938 dollars in the melt. Personal guess is well over 25 per cent of 1935 dollars melted. I would also bet that over half of the remaining 1935 coins are still around in Ch AU or better.

EF-40 and I don't think it was cleaned. the reverse has enough luster and detail that you will possibly get a 45 if submitted which I wouldn't do.

I don't think it was cleaned either and would venture an AU 50. The lack of detail around the middle of the canoe on reverse is common in soft strikes. I've seen some ICCS graded coins at MS 65 with very little detail in that area of reverse.

Looks like EF-45. Doesn't look cleaned to my eye in the last pics.
