I don't think I've ever seen anything like this before ebay auction with a Buy IT Now of $1,000,000 if anyone is interested. It's the first $2 bill ever produced. Check out the serial number! 1<<<Edited by Tights24 to remove external link from new member. See my post below>>>

That's really cool. The #1 note. Too bad the price is so ridiculous.

That is a very cool item. I agree, that the price is pretty high... On a different note, Skelly, welcome to the forum. As a new member, we ask that you refrain from posting external links until you have some posts under your belt. You can reference this one in particlar here: Posting External LinksWhat I would suggest doing is what I am about to do to your original post. You can copy and save the image from the ebay auction to your desktop and then at a minimum post the photo in your post for all to see with a little description. Thank you for understanding, and again, welcome to the forum. PS, kick off you shoes and relax. You will have many quality posts here in no time at all.

I'd take two of the #1's. Wait, guess I'll just have to get the one...Let me call my wife and see if we can afford it.

I wonder if the seller would take a personal check :)

The ME page for the seller indicates Jess Lipka who is associated with CGA. The grading co. pre dates both PCGSC and PMG. From reading on another forum this note came out of a Smythe sale for less than $15K. And that I believe was way too cheap for a 1st with a serial nr. of 1. A million bucks would put it on par with a Grand Watermelon. Just for fun, 1st $2 note with s/n 1....$100K. First $2 note with S/N 2....$200K.

I saw that rarity on ebay over four months ago I figured that seller would have given up by now! Its probably worth 50 grand especially in that crappy condition.
