Several mints across the British Empire struck sovereigns in 1918. Look for the mintmark on the "ground-line" the horse is standing on, directly above the date.
The three Australian mints (M-Melbourne, P-Perth and S-Sydney) are the most commonly encountered with that date, and unless genuinely uncirculated, they're not worth more than bullion value.
The two harder to find mints with that date are C-Canada (Ottawa) and I-India (Bombay). Unless well worn, both of these carry a collector's premium over bullion value. Here in Australia, the Australian ones are much more likely to be found.
