On CoinsandCanada, there is a variety listed as a spike between I and Z of Elizabeth. While going through a roll of '67's, I found it in another spot in five coins, above the "E" in "CENT". The fifth is a little different but the first four look exact.

It does appear to be a similar spike as listed for the IZ area, and you have found it on more than one.
Some sort of die crack. I see a spiked head is a die crack going from the rim to the head.

These are little die gouges, they are fairly common. I have many of them from BU rolls and one nickel with them all from 1967.
