Any good books out there that have values for each national note made? I have the US paper money guide book by Friedberg but the info for nationals is very limited.

I searched for Don C. Kelly but latest I could find for him was 2004, not what I would call current.

Is there anything worthy of mention that you use? Or even better, anything available on the interwebz for free that is accurate?

The newest edition of Don Kelly's National Bank Notes is the 6th edition which came out in 2008. It comes with a census CD.

There are several copies on ebay http://www.ebay.com/sch/Publication...l+bank+notes

In addition to the book and CD, I use the following for information and to see if others on that bank have sold and selling price.

Heritage Auction archives http://currency.ha.com/c/search-res...790+231+1173

Lyn Knight's website http://lynknight.com/home.asp?d=US

yeah I just signed up for HA archive, spent a good amount of time yesterday looking through old auctions. How close are those to the real world? When I think of heritage, I think rich people so I automatically default to higher prices..

I don't know how to answer your question CSOTUS.

The way I look at the Heritage auction archives is that the price realized is what someone was willing to pay at the time.

ebay sold results are also useful to see if there are newer auction records for a bank. Again, one has to factor in that a bidder may have gotten caught up in auction fever.
