as I have found with the QX-5 200X is very rarely needed, I use the 60X alot more then the 200X. Since this is a new product I would probably think the QX-5 would be cheaper also (although this is just a guess) and hooks to the computer so you can snap a picture straight from the microscope. The QX-5 can be found anywhere between $30 (for a used one) to $80 (for a new one) and are made as a kids toy but works rather well for coins

Edit: I forgot to mention, you can also take the microscope out of the cradle and carry it around (the cord me be shorter) and do the same thing they were doing with that eye thingy
