It seems that the U.S. Mint keeps on going on and off on their decision for the future edge lettering in the future becuase of the errors.

Will there be edge lettering next year, or will all of that stuff be moved to the obverse? What's the latest up date on this?

Thank you in advance,
-Ben

I haven't heard anything for awhile, I am guessing that since the mint seems to have this figured out they will probably keep it on the edge but I am no mint official or anything so I am just guessing here

I agree, Since we haven't heard about the edge lettering removal recently, the mint will probably continue .

If all coins go the way of edge lettering, I will cease to collect US coins. Plain and simple.

I wouldn't worry too much about all the other denominations. I couldn't imagine trying to read edge lettering on a dime.

Yes there will be edge lettering next year (no legislation currently in the pipeline to stop it and not really enough time to introduce any before they all go home for the year.) Beyond next year all depends on whether or not they introduce anything next year to change it. If they don't then the lettering will continue indefinitely.

And remember the Mint has no say in whether they have edge lettering or not. The lettering was mandated by Congress so the Mint HAS to put the lettering on the edge.
