Hi I have an 1885 One Three Farthing. It's a tiny little coin with Queen Victoria on the back. Does anyone know approximately what the value is of this coin? Is it common also? The back says Victoria D.G. and B.P.ITT [I think] then REG F.D.
Can anyone give me any info on it. I can't find a thing on the net.
Thanks

You have a bronze 1/3 farthing. Although they had legal tender status in the UK, they were minted and designed for use on the island of Malta. 1885 had a mintage of 288,000, and depending on condition, will have a value of US$4-40

Thanks Kuhli. I have no idea how this ended up amongst my Mother's bits and pieces, in New Zealand. It's been tucked away for some time. Thanks for your help. I'll just tuck it away a bit longer :)
