Didn't sell the first time, so seller raised the price $500 US, to $1500 US!!

That's about as far away from a brass cent as you can get. Not only heavy cleaned with an oxidizing agent (one of many household chemicals), but polished as well. Pennnyman is right: It's got 11 foot pole ,marks all over it. Newbies, stay away from this.

As a bonus, that seller has private biddings. Just that in itself is a fair warning to stay away...

I really don't understand why ebay still allows "private bidding". It opens the door to all kinds of problems. As a buyer, I will not bid private auctions.

Private is a dead giveaway. Deal at your own risk with any private bidding. There is ALWAYS something awry.
