Hi everyone,

I got out a couple hours last weekend and here are my finds.

One of the pennies is 1954D

and the ring I suspect to be gold, but I am not positive yet.

I threw out a lot of screws, nails, foil pie pans and the like. The only trash that I did not throw away is the chunk of metal in the picture. It almost looks like a bone on one side with an unusual patterned surface. My wife thinks it was probably solder that fell on the grass.

Thanks for looking

I would say the ratio was

40% good stuff

60% junk

The funny part is that the good stuff was all in pockets in the park. For instance about half the pennies and all of the dimes was in a 2 ft by 2 ft area behind a baseball backstop, like someones pocket had a hole in it.

If the ring is gold it will have a hallmark with the gold content .

I have found many things in areas like that ,, most of the time I think that the folks who lost the coins were sitting in lawn chairs watching the sports event .standing and yelling and sitting back down kinda has a slight scattering effect on what falls from the pocket .

one of the best pocket dumps I have found was 3.83 cents in the smae hole .

Thanks for sharing the finds with us !
