Jim, I don't know, its a shame though. Whatever it was turned it a kinda milky white.

It IS real nice in hand. The light coloring makes the details pop.

What a shame that someone would do that to a coin with so little wear. On my coin shop bid board the seller would put "Polish this one up". Ha!
