I need help identifying this 1702 coin. As you can see it has 11 stars but may have had 12 because of the hole. The back has no image on it. I do not know if this is an American coin or foreign coin. Thank you in advance for any knowledge you could share.

Hi and welcome to ccf, I'm not an 3xpert in colonials if that's what this is however the experts will need and want pics of BOTH sides

It's interesting how sharp the 1702 is on this coin, compared to everything else. (Maybe it's just the lighting?)

My first reaction is that it is not from 1702... I hope I'm wrong, but the style looks late 1800s to me and something about it screams fake I guess. But yeah, the other side might help a lot!

Well, we can rule out "American" since it predates America by most of a century.

And without a reverse, it's certainly not a "coin" in the legal tender sense. It's reminiscent of some of the fake California Gold heads. Methinks it's a lot newer than it looks, but composed of a metal which corrodes quickly.
