Hi Madcock

The coin pictured is a gold coin and if authentic could be worth a few hundred dollars.

we will need larger pics to take a better look for grading and authentication of the coin.

If real, it could be worth hundreds, as metalman said...if it's been cleaned it will not be worth as much. Here are the PCGS numbers for that coin

1911

VF 340
EF 355
AU 395

MS
60 585
62 1100
63 3400
64 5650
65 22000
66 50000

1911-D and 1911-S are worth ten times as much at MS60 and above.
