I like the front too. At the risk of sounding a little "off center", look at Jefferson's eyes on this one. To me, they don't look synchronized. Maybe it's from his incused forehead. lol

I never knew Jefferson had a lazy eye...
Heck, I never actually thought to give the nickel a good look, ever since it came out in 2006...LOL

The lines on the reverse looks like rolling stock lines. (imperfection on the stock material) I see these and wonder why they still exist on struck coins. But they are there. The coin looks like it was fully stained/found outdoors at sometime. Note on the tops of the devices where the silver is coming through? So the color is topical.

I see, thanks for the info Coop. Pretty nice effect I thought. The more I thought about it, I realized it couldn't be an improper alloy mix because the "grain" would have been on both sides.

I have no opinion on how the nickel happened because I don't know but has far as woodies,coinmaster,you can have the grainy effect on only on side...
