Poll Question
Hello. Today I have a poll for you: What slab do you prefer. Lets set aside that a coin sent to NGC might grade different than PCGS or ANACS, and just focus on one thing. What do you, as a collector, prefer. I'm talking about the slab, not the grading process or the cost... Only about how you think the slab looks.

Poll Choices
 PCGS
 NCG
 ANACS
 2x2 Coin Flips
  Coin World Slabs

Personally I prefer PCGS for everything but ancients in which case NGC style slabs are better

Since I participate in NGC Registry Sets, PCGS and NGC are the ONLY TPG's acceptable to me.
And no coins labeled DETAILS or Genuine.
And no raw coins (okay, there's one exception to this).

I prefer PCGS due to the highest resale, but I like the old ANACS holder.

Back in the days of film, it was easier to photograph coins in PCGS holders, compared to ANACS or NGC.

The bright white plastic surrounding the coin on the NGC and ANACS holders could fool the light meter in the camera, resulting in poor exposure. You could put a PCGS slab on a gray background and the gray color would show through the transparent plastic surrounding the coin. Sometimes I would put pieces of gray paper on top of the NGC or ANACS slabs to cover up some of the bright white background.

Nowadays, with live view, and instant feedback after each shot, this should not be a problem.

I like the Blue ANACS slabs best. They feel better in-hand and you can see the grade from the top as well as the obverse. Their older ones are second best followed by PCGS.

I like PCGS over NGC because they are a little smaller than NGC. I know ANACs is smaller, but I don't like the curved holder.

For me, smaller is better. They need to be big enough to adequately protect the coin, but beyond that they are just taking up too much space.

ICG has the best slabs, and always has.

ICG has always had a nice slab, I also liked SEGS slabs as they have a label that shows on the top of the slab, handy when in a box. My favorite all time slab is still the little white ANACS holders, due to size.

Of course for resale I will pick PCGS, I've always made more $$ with coins in their holders than in any other TPG holder.
