I don't think it is either. It looks like it is made of ceramic or clay of some kind. You searched (what) on google?

Tony,
I was searching for holiday images (actually New Year's) and saw this as one of the pics in the listing. Don't know why this would be included with any holiday pics.

That's the Aztec Sun Stone, a unique pre-Columbian artifact found in Mexico. It would have come up in your search because it is often called a "calendar stone".

You can't "have one" - it's unique. But you can have an image of it - on Mexican banknotes, and probably coins. I have a Mexican 1 peso note with this image.

Yep, and the size of the original would exclude it as "pocket change".

My brother has one. It's probably about 1 foot across and green. And Sap is correct, it's an Aztec calendar.

Aztec Calendar Medal. I have a few of these I picked up when I traveled the coin shows in the early 1970's. One in an antiqued bronze and a couple more in aluminum. Mine are 3 inches in diameter. The Aluminum ones have a mirrored field area. I know that then I didn't pay a lot for them but they are interesting. I also have one in a golden bronze that is mounted on a neck chain.
