denny7000 Pillar of the Community Canada 1018 Posts	Posted 04/06/2015 4:46 pm If I have this right, the Blakesly Effect is created by the flaws during the rimming process. The BE is apparent opposite the flaws on the lower portions of the coin, both on the obverse and reverse. So this rules out PMD. The lack of metal also created light striking on the queens head.
