As of late, it seems there has been a number of post showing a large amount of pictures to show their coin. Bobby did change the format for up loading but, when you look at some of these they are redundant.

Yeah, I think we should go for a more text based forum, like Zork. It is getting really tedious seeing all these pictures of all the member's coin collections

I have to agree there are more pics then needed mostly from new members. I once thought about posting "all" of my roll finds but didn't want to crash CCF John1

I completely agree. More and more I'm seeing two, three, or even more pictures in a post that are virtually identical. COTW, sorry but that's really not that funny. It's a complete waste of disk space.

I understand about the disk space thing but, In some threads, (errors for instance), I think it's needed isn't it? I know I have been guilty of posting LOTS of pictures that look about the same trying to show different angles to let others try to see what I'm seeing. Not as much now because after posting all those pictures and getting the feed back and education from all the great members, I can now "mostly" get the pictures I need to show my point. It's us newbies who need the "thousand words" in pictures to learn. They turn a Maybe into a Yes or a No a lot of the times. Just my opinion. oh yea,

Dar if they show something different I have no problem at all, but a lot of times as I said, they are virtually identical and show nothing different at all.

Please don't misunderstand me, I have no problem with uploading images here. In fact it's preferred so they don't disappear later. I just sometimes wish that a little care would be taken with waste. Weed out the unnecessary (duplicate) images and take a minute to crop images. For example, this was just uploaded 145KB .... 20 seconds to crop it and it's 40KB .... Over 100KB completely wasted just on one image and there was another one like this in the same post.

As you guys probably know, I'm kinda photography-centric. It is the source of my greatest frustration at this Forum that people don't seem intelligent enough to understand to crop to the coin and post it right side up.
If I go bonkers and spaz out of the Forum forever, it's going to be because I can't get people to do the stupid little things with their images. I cannot comprehend how someone could think an unfocused coin shot from orbit can be attributed. We have turned too darn many rookies into professional photographers here for me to think it can't be learned.

This place is way too big for a PC. Heck, I have 1600 images uploaded on CCF's server alone. Almost 6% of the total.
