I thought I would put all these coins together, one of them I think is a brass plated coin, can you tell which one I think it is? Just for fun...(not sure it really is, but sure looks like the picture I saw in Koinpro site.)

If you heat newer pennies in an oven, they'll turn a light golden color like yours. I think it's something with the zinc inside melting.

Hi

I was wondering what was up with these colored
coins myself. I just found a 79P today like that
and it reminded me of a 67P I have in my whitman folder
which is even more of a golden color. that 67 has been
in that folder since 67. never taken out and never near any heat
or other environment that would discolor it. all the other
coins in the album are fine. is this just a discoloration
or is it a mint plating error. if a discoloration on my 67
it happened at the mint or in about a few days after the roll
was cracked open at the bank. pretty high odds if so.
