IE Comcast.
Today things are rolling along pretty smoothly. It really seems to be hit or miss.
As the forum grows, some growing pains are going to happen. However, the really slow times, will kill a forum faster than anything. There is NO patience in the "internet" community. (I am guilty of this also).
I have NO clue what causes this or how to fix the problem. Maybe in the end, you should be looking at more proven software or hosting.

Things usually run pretty quickly here, but when it does bog down I'm not sure if it's on my end with my lousy dial-up connection or on your end. Mostly probably my end... I use Juno, and it drives me nuts sometimes, but upgrading isn't really a priority right now. Rachel [:p]

Firefox for Mac (iBook); Direcway satellite.
The past couple days, it's been quite fast, but from time to time, it hangs up. When I clicked on "Vote", it took over two minutes to do anything and when I clicked on "Reply to Topic", it just hung there for another couple minutes until it changed to a default page, "Bad response from server".

It has been ok for me tonight. When it is slow for me, it is slow on IE, Firefox, and Opera. I am on SBC Yahoo DSL and Win 2000.
I don't know anything about asp but you might want to see if you can get people to check out some non-forum pages when the site is slow. When I was running CP, that is how I figured out my shared host's sql server was bogging down under my forum load. The regular non-database pages of the site would load fine and fast but the forum would be bogged down totally. Just a thought and it might not be applicable to your setup.

Works just fine Susan, and when it don't, I can usually trace it to something on my end of the line. I know there are far more problems here than on your end of he operation.

I didn't see how to vote, but it would have been "Most of the time."
Tonight it took a tad longer than usual.
However, most of the time it is a matter of seconds.

IMO my problems happens on my end sometimes. BUT, when it is on your end I can't even loadup a page--Doesn't happen often but when it does, it's pretty bad.
