Hello all. I'm an on-again, off-again collector that began my collection in the early 1960's. Mostly US coins from the late 1800's on and some US bills. But since I lived in the Bahamas for 12 years as a kid, I've also collected a pretty sizable variety of British coins. OK, I confess... even after 60+ years, I still use a lot of the British spellings I learned in school: Colour, Aeroplane, Chequebook, Tyre.... you get the idea. I guess some things never fade. Presently, I'm presently 'reshuffling' my deck of US coins by upgrading the lesser quality ones and am also planning to thin down the British ones as they're no longer my cup of tea. I'm glad I bumped into this group. I like your guiding principals which treat everyone like family; how refreshing is that, eh? Now it's time to explore the forms and see what you all can teach me. Regards to all, Sean

I live 10 miles from Washington in Canada, did you know that your state just reached the population of 7 million? Do you know where Skagit county is?

Hello Jbuck: Yes, I've been to Skagit quite a few times, it's an awesome area. The wife and I always look for little hole-in-the-wall second hand stores to snoop around in when we're there.

There's a coin store right across the street from the mall called either hidden treasures or skagit coin. Skagit coin was in the mall with hidden treasures too and they joined together in one building. I go there every month!

little known fact the original abbreviation for Washington state was WN so if you ever go looking for good for or trade tokens you can date them by when WA became the official postal abbreviation
