I gave this one an UNC-details corrosion designation

And this one an MS62

These coins are sample ones from an original roll of 1943 pennies and I am just spot checking myself if my grading of the whole roll was correct. These coins /were/ dipped in acetone, but obviously, that did not remove the apparent fingerprints.

Kind of hard to see, but I think you are close with your grading. Have you considered acetone baths for them? They might look better, especially the third one.

Thanks for your comment, edweather. I have put them into acetone for a week. Some new fingerprints were removed, but these unfortunately cannot.

Are you saying these are low MS and have been low MS for a some time?

Or because of their signs of aging they are low MS?

Aging of a coin affects grading?

Just trying to figure all this grading thing out.

All about 62, I don't see corrosion on the one, it's 61/62.

NO! MS grading is all about luster, eye appeal and distractions.

AU down is all about wear.

Good Lord, I had to stop the page loading to post this. Just how many megabytes of images did you post? I stopped the load before they got done. This would bring my phone to its' knees. I have 130Mbps FiOS, for crying out loud.

That doesn't load them any faster on a slow connection. I can do this with 440kb, and cut that by close to half if I feel like it without changing the appearance:
