Is My Grading For These Steel Pennies Correct?

0xDA71D Pillar of the Community United States 1215 Posts	Posted 04/07/2015 3:44 pm First penny: I gave this one an MS63 I gave this one an UNC-details corrosion designation I gave this one an MS60 And this one an MS62 These coins are sample ones from an original roll of 1943 pennies and I am just spot checking myself if my grading of the whole roll was correct. These coins /were/ dipped in acetone, but obviously, that did not remove the apparent fingerprints. Report this Post to the Staff

edweather Pillar of the Community United States 7375 Posts	Posted 04/07/2015 4:58 pm Kind of hard to see, but I think you are close with your grading. Have you considered acetone baths for them? They might look better, especially the third one. Report this Post to the Staff

Are you saying these are low MS and have been low MS for a some time? Or because of their signs of aging they are low MS? Aging of a coin affects grading?
