This coin is 1879 and has Cinco Gramos on the obverse with the year and a person sitting on something and on the reverse it has Cinco Centimos on the bottom and DOSCIENTAS?IEZAS EN KILOG on the top with I believe a lion leaning against a shield...Identify and possible value if you could..Thanks..Tonster

Your coin is Spanish Third Decimal coinage. It's a 5 Centimos copper coin minted in Barcelona, KM#662. There should be an 8 pointed star on it that indicates the mint. Are you sure of the date? According to my book, these were minted in 1870. The 5 Centimos coins for 1879 show the bust of Alfonso XII on the obverse and are made out of bronze.

If yours is an 1870, values range from Fine 2.00 to UNC 75.00. In my opinion, yours is in Good condition at best. Not worth a lot moneywise, but still a nice piece of history.
