$799+tax for the gold coin - same as Superman. Mintage 2000, 14K same weight.

There are apparently three 2-ounce Looney coins in addition to five 1 ounce coins, and the 1 ounce coins will also have the pocket watch. Mintage 5K for 2 ounce, 12500 for 1 ounce.

Who is on the coin?
Bugs Bunny would be a sure hit. Elmer Fudd not so hot.

Good question, so many worthy candidates.
I think Road Runner and Daffy Duck would be popular. I'd buy a Yosemite Sam

but be aware, that you will have stock of un-wanted in not popular coins, priced close to bullion (can you impress someone with tube of the standard SML?), while people who spent money on the Disney / Superman /Loony Toones gold will have less items, but much more collectible.

This is like to buy for the daily commute Toyota Yaris or Ford Mustang - both cars will be good for 20 km ride.

It has a super low mintage because it is a very expensive coin and only coin collectors with deep pockets can afford it.

Its like the 1 kilo gold snowy owl/cougar coin that has a mintage of 10 and sells for $69,000 but who can really afford it?

A gold Superman or Looney Tune coin is more affordable for most collectors and has a larger population of collectors able to buy and sell it.

So true.
Plus more attractive theme for majority (collectors and non collectors).

Next year, they will release the Tiny Toons coins which would match the Looney Tunes characters that they will be releasing this year :)

I bold it so that I can go back to this thread next year to say I had predicted this.
