I am curious. When mining bank rolls of coins for "nice finds", are your chances of success increased by visiting several different banks, perhaps in different, (nearby), cities or are they effectively the same using one location primarily? Thank you.

THe key to successful roll hunting is searching volume.

Fistful said it best. Search as much coin of whatever denomination(s) you want. The more you do, chances are that you will do better. Large volume works for me

Success might very not from bank to bank but from armore car companies. Brinks,Gaurdia,Loomis and of course CWR.The same bank branches most often use the same carriers.

I use 5 different banks (multiple branches of each) for pick up banks, and I have one Credit Union I use as a dump. on Saturday (my day off) I start at 8am, and go to upwards of 20 banks doing pick ups. I do stop around noon, search some of the rolls and do a dump.

I made a conscious decision to go big with this, and I get about $4000 (mixed coin) on Saturdays.

This route I have created consistently produces between $1.50 and $2.50 of silver a week.

I worked for almost a year to get this working, developing friendships with tellers, and now they normally have rolls ready for me when I get there, and they are all CWR. I even had one box of Quarters from one bank (teller told me an older couple brought it in) produce 100 silver quarters.

I said all of that to re-iterate what the people above said, in this game its all about volume & repetition.

Good Luck

I agree, volume.

So the answer to your question is essentially yes. The more banks you visit, the more volume you can search.
