VF30-35. My gut tells me it's cleaned. Will see what others think. One heck of a nice coin. Did you cherry pick it, or buy it as a '14/3?

Bought it as 14/3. It is a bit dull but looks much better in hand, traces of luster around the edges.

Hard to call it. I think the obverse bumps it up to a 40.

Just got home and had a chance to look at the coin on a proper computer screen. I'll amend my grade to VF-35. Also what is that red stuff? (didn't seem to notice it before.)

If this is a photograph and not a scan, this coin has been violently dipped and it will not recover. This is what overdipping looks like, for those who have asked for examples in the past.

My apologies if there is something significantly changing the appearance of the image, but I'd archive these pics to show as examples of overdipping. It's about the clearest example I've seen posted here in ten years.
