I am looking for the value of 50 pl 1964 dollars in the original pliofilm still in the mint box(box is in ok shape, has been opened) I have the chance to buy one and would like opinions on value as I want to keep the box and coins together the way they were for 50 years. also about a third of the coins have a cameo contrast that is appealing but not very heavy.

thanks

you should never pay much over spot for these they are readily available. Event he missing dot is not much of a premium coin.

If it's a LCS I doubt very much he is gonna sell them for spot. If not a LCS then offer $13 each which I think would be a excellent buy. If a LCS he will want at least $15 each and maybe more.

I've been paying 11-12USD ea. for BU rolls of 20.Seeing as they are all wrapped might demand a bit more of a premium. $590-600USD would be a nice price for those 50. :) good luck!

spot there is very little premium for the PLs. Mint state 65 that is a very different animal.

I have boxes of them. I wouldn't give them up for under 15 in bulk and 18-20 individually. Even though the market rule is spot for Canadian late year silver dollars, not many people at retail get anything decent for that (or often for that matter). Even late year silver PL sets still yield 25-35 range plus shipping online.
