A bit of a story here:

Yesterday I stopped by the local convenience mart and paid for my purchase in cash. The cashier reached for the cents, and, finding that the slot was empty, grabbed a Loomis roll and broke it open. Out came 50 shiny new cents, and I got 4 of them in my change.

As I was walking out, I did the compulsory change-check: 2 2015 P's and 2 2015-D's, all BU.

I live on the East coast (Atlanta) so Denver coins are pretty rare before June/July. But from the same BU roll? I've never seen that happen before, and I'm at a loss as to how it could happen, unless my specific roll is from a Midwest distribution center that receives from both mints? I would have attempted to buy the whole roll, were it not her last 46 cents!

Has anyone seen this before?

No, but I live in the midwest and I've gotten boxes of NH String & Son's rolls with some P and some D 2014 LSC.

Very interesting. Not sure how that happens. Lucky you, though.

The only way I can think this would happen is if the armored truck company that rolled those coins had a depository somewhere that was getting coins from two different FED banks that were each supplied by a different mint. I don't handle a lot of rolled change some I don't know if this is rare or maybe not so rare.
