It looks like a die break, but you can make out the two 5's over 5's

Looks like it could be VLDS, AKA poor man's double die and it's not worth any premium over the $0.12 its listed at in the RedBook.

The 55 DDO is so obvious that if you have to ask it is not a DDO.

I think we all dream of finding a true 1955 DDO. A magnifying glass is not needed for that one because it has very pronounced doubling of the date.

It's a bit more than just the date.

But there is more than one 1955 doubled die, so just because a coin doesn't match the coin shown here doesn't mean it can't be a doubled die. When someone asks "is my coin a 55 doubled die?" Don't automatically dismiss it if it doesn't look like the one posted here.
