4 boxes yesterday. A Franklin, 4 40%ers, 3 holed, a few NIFC, and one that looks like someone tried to fold it using some type of machinery.  |

After 2 years of searching rolls, I finally found a couple of 1970.
1970D
1970S
Found these in consecutive weeks too. Only bad thing is that is all I found in $4K worth of halves.

Has anyone else found any 1970Ds, I haven't found any 70's at all. I have searched over $12,000 worth of halves. I know some of you have searched much more. I was wondering what are the odds of finding them? No luck on the 74 DDO. Thanks for posting. "LOVE THE HUNT!"

i have searched over $250,000 worth of halves and found only 2 1970 d's ever.
very rare in the wild.

looks like my half hunting may end.bank told me today if I order anymore it will cost 4.00 extra per box. they have 5 more for free.will see if it will be feasable to pay the fee. 1st box -4.45 no silver and 1 nickel box 2 -.50 one 1967 and 2 nifc.anyone else having to pay extra and if so are you coming out ahead. later greg  Edited by grime5

I would not pay. Try different branch or bank. Others have been charged.

No, I haven't found any 1970s and I know I have been through multiple thousands of dollars in halves. They are quite rare in open circulation.

$1.2+ million worth of halves searched and have only found 1 1970D and a couple months later I found my only 1970S.

My silver skunk streak has now been extended to 7 boxes. This box did have one NIFC and 2 1974-D DDOs. That makes 5 in the last two boxes.
