Thanks Trapper, get well soon. I dread the day I have get my neck worked on. I finished up my last six boxes this evening. Pulled my first 87P and Magician Coin, the old scotch and soda trick. 20, NIFC, Includes 1, 2005S, 5 Holed coins, 5, 40%ers, 1, counter stamped, plus 5 other coins in real nice shape. 72's, 77's,78's and an 86. So I would have to say I had a nice week. Only sharing pictures of the 87P and Magicians coin.

6 boxes.

A few NIFC, a Magicians coin, a 1982 no FG polished off seriff, a glitter reject, and this bicentennial.

Hopefully skunk season isn't here.

Anyone remember when I said I hate enders? This one wasn't an ended but the roller got it sometime in the past.

I did win $25 on a scratch off afterwards though. That has to be as good as a few 40%ers and a 90%.

Thanks DCM for point out my mistake. I love when people do that it makes me feel better about myself. That is the whole goal of doing that correct! I know lighten up.

2 boxes left from yesterday.

2 40%ers, 2 gold plated, and a few NIFC.

Went out of my way in the snow while dumping this morning to pick up a box.

4 40%ers.

Arby....no criticism was intended, and my apologies if it was taken that way. I simply wanted to know if it was one of mine that you got.....that's all. Peace.

DCM that is why I used the faces, the quote " I know lighten up" was me saying that about myself, I was messing around and of course very difficult to do in a written message. What marks do you make, I have gotten several and would like to know? Thanks David.

That's a nice 1970... I have only seen one in all of my searching.

Took me $1 million searched (2 million coins) to find my first one and I found 2 this month.

Go figure.

Arby, when time permits I stamp common circulating coins with my initials, "DCM". I serialize the cents, front-facing nickels, quarters, halves, and dollars with serial numbers, since there's room on the obverse for them. It's something I've done off and on for ten years, and as of late I've been stamping a lot of halves.

Almost all counterstamps are spent where I live, Tucson AZ. Once in a while I'll slip in a few into rolls that I'm dumping at banks, but my preference is to spend these in day to day transactions.

It is tempting to dump $20 worth of JFKs into a Coinstar machine, as that I buy on Amazon from time to time, but that hasn't happened.....yet.

I guess some folks wonder why I do this.....several reasons.

1. I can't help but wonder if I'll get these back in change. I got one of my own nickels back, and I've seen three of my JFKs in a CWR roll.

2. By keeping a spreadsheet of dates/mintmarks, this tells me how many of a certain date/mint that I've seen. For example, I frequently see 1965 quarters, but not that many 1968 or '69 quarters.

3. If someone notices my marks on a coin, they might come to this forum to ask about it (it's already happened twice), and my thinking is that this might promote coin collecting as a hobby.

4. I find it fun, although I have other diversions which compete with counterstamping. I've been doing a lot more reading lately and not as much stamping. I'm thinking I might also resume some songwriting projects.

Again, I counterstamp common circulating coins. I'm not going to stamp states/ATB quarters, NIFC halves or dollars, bicentennials, Lewis & Clark nickels, or 2009 cents/nickels/dimes/quarters/halves.

I am aware that there are a lot of counterstamped JFKs with 1960 & 1985 on them......and counterstamped cents with states shapes, Freemasonry emblems, and Lincoln smoking a pipe. Not to mention that we've got an Ike counterstamper (or at least we had one once) who provided one of the mods here with a neat avatar!

DCM, I haven't pulled one of yours yet, nothing with DCM, I liking seeing all the different ones, I believe I have a few from one person, the Dollar sign is always on the reverse in the tail feathers. All the years have been different so I wonder how far one can get to complete a Kennedy set of counterstamped coins from 64 to 2014. I am up for the challenge. LOVE THE HUNT!

Nice finds Jack, yea I got lucky and have found one this year too. Now I need to pull a barber, commemorative, and an 82 no FG. Should get another 8 boxes this week. As much as it sucks to get skunked its twice exciting to see that white rim in a roll, never gets old. LOVE THE HUNT!
