Quote: Finally finished with my box... Got one, 1968 D, so it was only one 40%er but i'll take it! I like to say that one is better than none. Nice find!

Went to the bank to get my halves. I had a pocket full of $1's filling up my wallet so I traded those in for 2 rolls of dimes. Found a 2009D and now I remember why I hate searching dimes. 4 boxes of halves. 1st box 2nd roll in I find a 1919S Walker. I was rather upset as a month ago I broke down and bought a 1916D and a 1919 can't remember which one halves off of ebay because I got tired of looking at the same empty holes over and over. Who gets upset when they find a 1919S Walker in a roll? ME. Maybe I have seen too many and found too much that the thrill isn't what it used to be. Also in the box was a 1917S reverse, a bunch of NIFC, a proof, and a bunch of NIFC. When I found that toner 1944 last week I said I bet there is an album out there and if I am right it seems the coins are being spent or dumped one by one instead of everything dumped at once and found in 1 monster box. The other 3 boxes were junk.

Well if the one you bought was in better condition than the one you found, at least you have to one you found to help get some return on your cost back of the other one?

Luckily it was a 1919D that I bought on ebay. It bothered me so much that I had to log into ebay from work to see what I had bought because I couldn't wait until I got home to check.

Good day/ Bad day
I went to pick up my two boxes and was told that they would be closing that branch of the bank. This is the only branch that will order halves for me.
One box was a skunk and the other box had 2 walkers ('35 and '41) 3 Franklins, 1 '64 and 3 40%. Of course I was excited about my finds but now I'm not sure if I can find another bank to order for me.
I did find my first silver proof last week...1967 S in really nice condition.

Hello everyone, 4 boxes searched today, Pulled 1, 90%er and 15, 40%ers, 4, proofs, 1, 74D DDO, a magician coin, 5, holed 1, counterstamped, 7, NIFC and 9, real nice 80D's. The walker is a 44D and someone plated it. Why would you plate a walking liberty? Walker 1-44D Kennedys 4-65 3-67 6-68 2-69 1-74D DDO1-73S Clad 1-82S Clad 1-84S Clad 1-2000S Clad

Nice score.
The Walker has most likely been polished.

Went dumping on the way home from work.
I was checking out the tellers tray while he was at the coin counter.
There was a dull looking Kennedy and a couple of golden dollars. I could have sworn that the half was silver but told myself there is no was that there is a single kennedy sitting there all by itself and it is silver and no one else noticed it or tried to snag it.
Well it turned out to be a 1967.
First tray find in a long time.

Tray finds from last month have been my only sivler finds at all. Friday is coming fast and with it 2 boxes, so I have my fingers crossed and if they give me a single silver, I am going back to cents to finish my Wheats for a while, and hope to snag some Canadians before they all get gone.
Why wouldn't a bank order halves for someone? Last week when I ordered them from Wells Fargo, I just walked in off the street, they placed the order and asked me to open them when they came in to see what they looked like because they had never ordered them before. Might need a bigger bank or just walk up to the teller with five $100 bills and ask them if they could get them for you. Ask to speak to the head teller or bank manager if all else fails. If it is the bank you do business with I really don't see a problem.

Nice finds, arby96! I agree with Jack. It is difficult to tell from the photograph, but the Walker may have been polished.

Looks chrome plated to me. I found a Walker a couple of years ago that was chrome plated and the chrome was starting to peel off.

Went to my local bank to do my weekly check for halves and I got a mint roll of 2010 D halves still in their original package. Not silver but kind of cool.
