@colles

Give it 6 months and go back.

I bet that only 10% of the original staff is still there including the bank manager.

Of all of the banks I have been to for pickup and dumping there are few faces I recognize after 6 months as most teller move to a better branch and the managers are forced to relocate.

The most boxes I ever did per week was 5. I didn't want to be a burden to the bank tellers or raise any flags.

I ordered 3 from my main squeeze bank, and 2 from a small local bank. I had varying luck with each.

Now I just do 2 boxes per week, 1 from each bank. I try to create as little hassle for them as possible. I don't buy them things. I tried that with a Bank Of Am. branch that was ordering 2 boxes for me for a while. They were a real hassle, and would forget (uh-huh, sure) and just be generally difficult. This was after I bought them all several pizzas and bottles of soda and had it delivered. They seemed to get worse after I treated them.

@Colles: don't give up, brudda.

P.S. If I've gone through my halves and am jonesing for some coins, I will buy boxes of quarters, or if not, dimes and nickels and sometimes pennies. Quarters usually because pennies, dimes and nickels are too hard to see for me.

Is it gold plated or just electro or chemically discolored?

It's plated.

I've got 2 8 page Dansco half albums full of discolored and toned and counter stamped and plugged and bb gunned halves.

4 boxes today pulled 1-40%er a 68, also pulled 1 holed and one half of a Magicians coin obverse side, and pulled 4-74D DDO, oh yes and 1-06D NIFC. Its funny when there is a bunch of silver one is pulling it makes the search seem to go by much faster. When you pull one piece of silver out of 4 boxes it seems like it takes forever. LOL

Went to one of the Chase dump banks that are open after 6 in town.

I went there a month and a half ago and they said everyone transferred or quit and they were short staffed so I waited 3 weeks before going back.

When I went there last time they had a full staff so I figured we were all good.

Went there tonight after another 3 weeks of not going there and they said they would have to bag my coin up and ship it off to be counted and then deposit it my account in a week or 2.

I told them that was a load of crap.

First my 3rd string bank can't order anymore and now this.

This is starting to become too much of a hassle.

Nice finds Allfome, 4 boxes today didn't get much silver but the box had a bunch of cool coins in it. Pulled 3-40%ers, 2-67, and 1-69. I pulled 2-74D DDO's one of my best ones to date. Pulled my first 82P No FG, 2-Clad Proofs one I threw back 1-79S, 1-01S, 4-holed, and 1-counterstamped. Last but not least, 14-NIFC, 3-02P, 5-04D, 5-05P, and 1-06P. I have a bunch of pictures will break them up on different posts.

Even though I didn't get a bunch of silver I am still very happy with my last search. As earlier, I stated I thrown the one proof back in the bag, bet you can't guess which one? It only took 120,000 coins before I pulled my first 82P no FG. Still waiting on that first Commemorative coin. Happy Hunting.

Dumped 2 boxes of quarters I did last weekend, decided to stop at a bank across the street and see if they had anything.

Picked up 7 BU ikes and 31$ in halves. 1$ of halves was in the tray, 3 rolls with another teller. The 3 rolls were dumps, but the tray yielded
a 67!
