Quote: Shads, skip the ramen and get a box of nickels to go with your halves! Eating is overrated! ;-) Still got half a box from the last time I searched dimes. Feeding them to Walmart Self-Checkout instead of the nickels cause you get more that way. So, I traded a searched box of pennies for a new one, and they had $280 loose rolls of halves but I only had enough to get my box and $100 of those other. I swear someone is dumping at that Wells Fargo bank, but the rolls are brinks rolls and I still find things I want in them so oh well! Will be starting going through my $600 in halves after dinner and have a box of pennies to do for Easter! Taking my food away would be like taking my coins away, someone would get their arm bitten off. I just need to remember to sort the coins and eat the ramen, instead of the other way around. EDIT: the $100 CWR/BWR yielded what is left of a 1972-S. dull shine, few spots on the obverse. reverse looks better. EDIT #2: Box #8 opened. preliminary decade sort and search gave me: 2002 P (filthy and sticky), 2007 P (looks like coffee was spilled on it or it was soaking in a cup), half-drilled hole 1971. Guess I should have whined harder for something decent.

Previous thread about a week ago. Went to the bank of Saturday and they had $950 worth of halves. Bought all the pre 71 rolls (all were dated). 7 full rolls of 40%ers. Bought all the rest the following Monday, but only a single proof and single %40 half in the rest. Went to Myrtle Beach over the last few days. Stopped by a bank and asked if they had any halves and they had $12 worth of loose. A 1964 and 68 out of those! On a roll! Funniest part is at the Myrtle bank the teller says "Why do you want helfs?" I said "I'm a collector" She says "You know these aren't worth anything right?"...as she hanks me a 90%er!

Ive went through $3370 in customer rolled halfs, found 1965, 1969, 1991 s clad proof, 2008 p gold plated,2 1982 no fg's, and almost a roll of AU/maybe MS 1987's. Pickins are slim. Last year I only did $4500 total in all coins and found 63d, 64d, and 15 40%ers!
