Started searching again this week. 4 boxes. 3 boxes were skunks 1 box: 27 40% and 7 90% (2 1951 Franklin) Ended up with 4 enders. Only caught 2 of them.

Sweet score. My best boxes (except a few) were the first time I tried that denomination or after a year off tried a box of them Maybe that should be my new strategy

Jack sent you an email, Nice finds everyone, again love seeing those big numbers. That only means there is more for me out there. I met a gentleman in a Wells Fargo in Phoenix while I was dumping a couple of boxes he is 91 years old. He asked me what I was doing with all those coins and told him I was a silver hunter, He told me he had a coin collection he was think about selling. I have him my information and forgot to ask him for his. I just hope he calls.

Jack I haven't located any of those 71D's believe me its not for lack of trying, Over 300,000 coins searched and no luck. No problem finding 74D DDO's.

Hi everyone, haven't posted in a long while. Still crh'ing, but only one box a week. Went through about a month without a single silver, and finally last week, got 4 40's in a box! Good to see everyone's still at it.

I was going through all of the piles of stuff I had st aside to look over with a loupe at a later date and put in flips or 2 X 2's. 69 1974D DDO and 39 1982P No FG with the correct polished off serif on the 1. I went though all the bags of toned and engraved and holed and oddly damaged and UNC halves I had set aside to free up some cash. I need to stop keeping all of this stuff.

Hi everyone, I started roll hunting half dollars on 1 June, I want to keep you updated every 3 months to see if seasons have anything to do with totals? Maybe others will also do this. Well, here is mine.
From 1 June to 31 August: 43 Boxes = 43,000 coins = $ 21,500. I cut to see sides first, then I go through them one by one. I have used some counters, but I use bank bags the most. I put $750.00 (37.5 lbs) in each bag. I weigh each $10.00 stack looking for a light one, they weigh about 225 grams +/-. If it would weigh about 222 grams I would look for the 71d., No 74d DD or no int so far
I found 34 90ers (oldest is a 40s) (0.790698 per box average) , 116 40%ers (1 70d)(2.697674 per box average) and about 200 NIFC (4) 87D , (1) 87P and a large English penny.
So, I got 4 boxes(44 through 47) on 9/4/14 and only got 1 40%er, 68d, If this is ok, I will give another report on 30 November. Thanks for reading and good luck hunting. Joe of pamelajoe
