You all are lucky ...in Baltimore Metro Area halves are scarce and buying a box is a dream especially when they have to be ordered special if they will do it. ..but I'm still looking just trying to find them in local banks. I may have to order a box.

arby96, Sorry for your lost.
Bad To The Bone, Raised in Woodlawn, In Delaware now, I use three different banks, one for pick-up(they call me when they are in), and 2 for drop off, Most boxes I would get 1 or 2 silver halves, but then I would get 30 or more in 1 box, I think that would be a coinstar drop. Try to get more than one bank, helped me. Good luck with your hunt

Cracked 4 boxes last night and pulled 2-40%ers, 67&68, 1-01S Clad Proof, 1-84 plated, 1-87P, 1-sticker coin. Came across those green marked coins again with my special mark on top, a bit surprised I seen them so quickly again. Still pulled 2 pieces of silver.   "LOVE THE HUNT!" "LOVE THE HUNT!"

4 boxes this morning, 2-40%ers both 67's, 4-Clad Proofs, 1-71S, 2-85S, and 1-02S, 1-74D DDO, 4-GEMs, 86D, 87P, 88D, and 89D, 3-NIFC 03, 07, and 09, and 1 grease filled not sure what year.    Remember we will have great days, good days and bad days. The great days is what we all live for, good days keep us happy and bad days we have to remember we will again have great and good days. Went to my coin club meeting last night. I don't tell people where I get my 1/2 dollars (say " some here and there") A guy will give me $24.00 for all P & D From 2002 to 2013. That is a dollar each, double my money. Now does that sound good? What do they go for on ebay? Thanks for any info! keep on hunting! |

4 boxes yesterday. Skunked again and shorted at least $5 on rolls that were light. I did find these "toners" in one in a box and a foreign job. The rainbow colors are much wilder in person.   Edited by jack jeckel

left work early today, went to the bank with coins to dump. Got some cash. Crossed the street to another bank, to pick up my 2 boxes of halves I have been getting. I saw some large dollar coins and some halves in the tray as soon as I got to the window. I looked at the Ikes, but they were corroded and whatnot, so I left them alone. I asked about the halves, and she moved the coins in front of me to look at. I picked out 3 40%s from the about 20 coins, and gave her 1.50 for them. Not sure what she was thinking as she probably does not know what edge searching is. just finished the boxes edge searching only, will face search later. box 1 skunk box 2 1x69, 1x41, and 1x44 quite pleased, total of 6 on the day.  My teller told me that next week due to various reasons, that she would not be able to order my two boxes. I thought that was a bit strange. Then she went on to tell me that she already ordered them for me, and they are at the bank now! She is awesome. I will prob get them on Monday. Could not today as I did not have an extra thousand bucks on me... lol. And also because I cannot carry 100 lbs home for about 3/4 mile. would have been a bit of a challenge. Edited by skibdib

Cracked 6 boxes this morning, 4-90%ers and 15-40%ers, Here is the break down of everything I found, 1-59D Franklin, 3-64D, 1-65, 10-67, 3-68, and 1-69, 4-Clad Proofs, 77S, 01S, 02S, and 03S, 2-74D DDO, 1-72D No FG, I also pulled my first 2014D, Plus 6 other NIFC.
