I was in a neighboring town today with lots of banks, stopped in at probably 10-15 different banks looking for halves. I was able to pick up 2 rolls that had probably been rolled in the bank and 111 loose ones, got (1) '63 Franklin out of the lot. The teller noticed the Franklin and said that one probably has some silver in it. I don't think he wanted to give it up, but he'd already told me how many he had and I'd already told him I wanted them all.

4 boxes yesterday 3 skunks and 1-67, 1-counterstamped, 1-05 NIFC, and 2-74D DDO, I was a bit surprised to find those 74D DDO's because I was just doing a quick search for silver and just check a few of the 74's and found these, I have pulled 84-74D DDO's so far. Hope everyone has a great week next week. "LOVE THE HUNT@"

I've found the perfect dump site for my unwanted halves. My local Walmart has a coin star machine and there's no charge for it's use, just run the coins through then take the machine receipt to a cashier for your money. Best thing is, Walmart is only 3 miles from my house. I'm sure Walmart does this with the expectation of most people cashing in their coins, then turning around spending the money in the store, but it's great for coin roll searchers too!! I currently have $540. worth of halves bagged up ready for my next trip to Wally World. After I cash those in I still have a few hundred dollars worth to cash in. I'm supposed to have 4 more boxes coming in Wednesday, hope they're as good or better than the last 2.

4 boxes yesterday. 2 boxes had silver. 1 box had 3 40%ers and the other 5 40%ers and a 1964. Surprisingly there were only 3 beat up NIFC. Lately I have been pulling 10-15 out of 4 boxes. 4 boxes today. Skunked.

Last 8 boxes have been pretty skimpy. 2 1968's and a 2000 Ecuador 50 centavos. I saw lots of marked coins out of those 8 boxes. Any of you guys take claim to the mark "SM" in black marker? ;) Thinking about taking a break to let some new coins circulate in. Might try quarters for awhile. Good luck everyone!

Quote: I went back to check my numbers from last January and I pulled 28 pieces of silver for the month, I didn't think it was that slow thinking back, It feels even slower to me this January but I have pulled 31 for the month so far. I was surprised I am ahead, it feels like all I am getting are skunked boxes. January to May used to be the slow time around here as well with the peak season being August to December but after a slow November and December 2013 it was a crazy good run starting January to October. It seems to have fallen off around here since October.

Most Walmarts CoinStar machines charge 9 to 10 percent to count the coins.
I think they forego the fee if you take the counted amount as a gift card for certain outlets.
You may want to check the screen again on this one.

Found this beauty (1970S proof)and 46 other proofs in excellent condition. Looks to be a fresh dump hardly any marks on the coins.

Found another bank that's willing to order halves for me. Will be getting 2 additional boxes added to my usual next week.
