the boxes that came in on tues that I tried to get Wednesday revealed themselves on Thursday to be boxes of small dollar coins. They messed up for the first time since last september, a great run for sure. So it turned into a Friday hunt. I brought in lots of goodies today to go around to ensure no hard feelings.

box 1: skunk
box 2: skunk
box 3: hole filling 54d frankin, and a 40%er
box 4: 1964 ender, total 13 x 1964, 11 x 40%ers

This was the best box I ever got for 64s. My previous best was 5 in a box. The first roll of this box had 2 x 64 and a 40... this leads me to believe there may be more brother/sister boxes. 4 more boxes on tuesday. trying to stay on it!

Nice haul skibdib

Wish I had luck like you guys do on a consistent basis like a certain few on here do... my finds are barely worth posting and have only ever had one box that produced a total of walkers, kennedy and franklins for a total of 37 pieces but the other 12,000 dollars searched are maybe a piece or 2 per box if I am even lucky to not get skunked which seems to be a lot lately.... oh well.. Love the hunt!

Trent C search the rolls anyway, for several weeks I was getting Brinks boxes that one end wasn't crimped good, but I found silver in some of them. Maybe some someone missed, maybe a machine malfunction either way there was silver in some rolls.

Nice boxes skibdib.

I just finished my 6 boxes for the week. No silver in any of them. Now on an 8 box silver skunk streak. The two fed boxes had at least 4 rolls with 21 coins and 1 or 2 rolls (not sure which) with 19 coins. Either way I think I came out at least $1. ahead of the game. I guess they thought since they didn't give me any silver they'd add a few extra coins to help me with gas to my dump bank. All I can say is, at least there is next week for better luck!!

Thanks all. I was pretty pumped. I guess it was technically box 3 as I opened it 3rd, but I did save it for last to go through. I'm just lucky to be in a decent area, and I try to work the banks hard.

Can anyone recommend a backpack that is strong enough to carry 2 boxes of halves? Id like to carry 2 on my back instead of 1 on my back and 1 in a duffelbag.

Skib, you could easily fit 4 boxes in a hunting backpack such as cabelas extreme Alaskan outfitter pack, but I don't know if you'd like carrying 100+ pounds :)

Id like to limit it at 50 lbs, that is my target weight. I just want to carry it on my back instead of half of it in one hand, I don't want to develop coin elbow :-)

The pack I mentioned would also work for 54 pounds as you desire. I seriously own one of these packs and it will carry more weight than I'm capable of lifting.

ah, that seems to be a hiking type of bag. I actually have one of those that I use for hiking but I was hoping to find something more like a laptop bag. I'm wondering if I want to get a backpack with wheels or not.
